Free

Course Overview
This course is designed for those who want to know about the history of coinage and the origins of digital currency. The four lessons in this course explore the foundations that came to define the modern digital currency movement, including the first uses of cryptography in transactions, the demand for transparency, the rise of alternative currencies, and the birth of decentralization. Along the way, we look at precursor coinage, false starts, and the origins of distributed computing. In the last lesson, we put on our futurist hats and look at what the future holds for Bitcoin, Blockchain 2.0, transactions, contracts, and the alternative currencies movement.
